Before he brought Fred Flintstone to life, John played the immortal Babe Ruth. The female lead, Claire Hodgson Ruth, went to Kelly McGillis.

Goodman played this controversial Depression-era politician while Ann Dowd played his wife.

Speed’s Dad had a smokin’ mom, Susan Sarandon.

Center of the Universe

This TV series about a family that revolves around their father. Goodman played John Barnett, while Jean Smart portrayed his wife, Kate.


King Ralph – (Film)

Ralph was a lounge singer turned heir to the throne of England. And Camille Coduri played John’s long-time girlfriend.


Now, with the exception of Rosanne, John’s female acting relationships haven’t lasted very long. Fortunately, his real-life relationship has. John has been married to Annabeth Hartzog since 1989. They have a daughter.
