Top 10 George Steinbrenner Quotes

George Steinbrenner. The Boss of the New York Yankees has died of a heart attack. He was 80.
From the second he bought the Yankees, Mr. Steinbrenner was a colorful figure on the NY and American sports scene. He was outspoken, controlling, controversial, arrogant and driven. But most of all, he wanted to win. Which is mostly what he did.
During Steinbrenner’s ownership from 1973, the Yankees earned 11 pennants and 7 World Series titles. Plus, he turned the team into a global marketing and money making machine. Today, the Yankees are worth more than a billion dollars.
I was not his biggest fan, but I do thank him for bringing victory, championships and a culture of winning back to the Bronx.
RIP The Boss. Emperor of the Evil Empire!
