FACT: Were I lucky enough to survive an apocalypse brought on by a biological disaster, nuclear war or my own flatulence, I’d die soon after due to my inability to create fire, my fear of large animals and my weak ankles.
But this awesome site for the Discovery Channel’s “The Colony” creates a realistic simulation of what would happen should such a disaster befall the world. (You don’t have to login using your Facebook account, but it makes the experience that much better if you do.) There’s a great video from Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Denise Crosby, as well as very robust and detailed story-telling on the site. Enjoy, and remember… the cough you have is probably just from allergies. It has nothing to do with that guy with the runny nose, red eyes, and what appeared to be facial sores who sneezed on you in the subway.
